2013 Retrospective

Looking back on 2013:

Another productive year! Here's a selection of projects I've completed (or have been involved with) over the course of this year:

1. I created a total of twelve new books this year-- not my personal best, but 2013 still squeaked in at 3rd place (In 2011, I created fifteen, and in 2010, thirteen.) Among these titles are the books shown here, as well as a number of others. You can find out about all of these books (and more) on Thunderune Publishing's main website: www.thunderune.com

2. This year, I published a brand new work by British author L.A. Sykes through Thunderune Publishing-- the hard-hitting novella entitled "The Hard Cold Shoulder." If you're into crime/noir, this guy writes some hot stuff that is definitely worth checking out.

3. Another project that went live this year was "Voyage of the Tereshkova." Originally a Kickstarter project, Voyage of the Tereshkova went on to become a hybrid book/game set in the universe of The Cygnus War.

4. One of the crazy goals I decided to set for myself in 2012 was reaching fifty published books (in my name alone, no pen-name or ghost-written works included!) before I turn thirty. This September, I hit that goal when I published Lithium Liederkreis, the long-awaited fourth book in the Pink Carbide series.

5. But, of course, I wasn't about to be stopped there! The last three books in the Pink Carbide series (Oxide Overture, Fullerene Symphony and Silicon Sonata) were all penned during the course of this year and are currently being revised and edited in preparation for their appearance in print in 2014. Exciting!

6. I was also involved in a ton of audio work this year. First and foremost, I became "The Voice" for Mark Slade's Dark Dreams and Blackout City Podcasts, (darkdreamspodcast.blogspot.com). I also did a fair amount of my own audio work on the side, recording some of my own stories and shorts and even creating a short-lived series called "The Midnight Writer Podcast" which is available to listen to on Youtube.

7. Among the books published this year through Thunderune Publishing were Liber Luminopticon and Liber Velum Voces, two works that opened a whole new section of the press: the metaphysical section!

8. I was also involved with a number of projects outside of Thunderune Publishing this year, doing a fair amount of ghost writing and working with various authors on various published (or soon to be published) works. Among the projects to which I have contributed in 2013 are several available through Horrified Press, as I edited the anthology entitled "Undead In Pictures" and provided short stories for Schlock Magazine, Nightmare Illustrated and a couple of anthologies (including the pictured Doctor Who 50th homage entitled "Twelve.")

9. Last but not least, a number of new authors were welcomed into the ranks at Thunderune Publishing in 2013, named here in no particular order: John Ogden, Gary Clifton, Nick Keller and Christopher S. Hinkle Sr. These authors are new but very talented, so take a chance and give one (or more) of them a read.
